A Lunar New Year Celebration Comes to East Midtown!

On Saturday, February 6, the East Midtown Partnership joined with the Confucius Institute for Business at SUNY, the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District, and the Chinatown Partnership to present "Madison Street to Madison Avenue," a historic event to bring the Lunar New Year celebration of Chinatown to the East Side and Upper East Side.

For four hours on that day, residents, visitors, and retailers were treated to lion dancers, a dragon, and special cultural performances, along with a number of family activities. We were plased to be joined by Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, US Representative Carolyn Maloney, NYC Department of Small Business Services Commissioner Gregg Bishop, and the Honorable Deputy Consul General Lei Cheng of the People's Republic of China for this event.
