TONIGHT: SOCIAL STOP & FOOD DRIVE AT ASTRA - Tonight, Wednesday, November 2, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, we'll gather at Charlie Palmer's Astra, on the 14th Floor of the D&D Building, 979 Third Avenue, for another free "Social Stop." It's not too late to join us. We're also asking you to give back to the community by bringing a canned/non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Food Bank For New York City in time for the holidays. East 59th Street will again be closed to through traffic between Second Avenue and Third Avenue from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. This closure is necessitated by water main work by the New York City Department of Design & Construction, and will also affect traffic and parking on East 58th Street and the Queensboro Bridge ramps.
In addition, remember that the "Occupy Wall Street" protest in Lower Manhattan is ongoing and may result in unplanned street closures and delays.
